We are Denis and Melanie Schimmeyer – the husband-and-wife team behind the private excursions and individual wine tours on Gran Canaria. We speak German, English, and Spanish. Denis accompanies our guests directly as their guide, while Melanie provides support behind the scenes, especially for weddings and larger groups.

I originally come from Northern Germany, where I was born in 1978 and grew up in a rural area. I led a varied life there.
After years of working in education in various social sectors, including addiction support, I moved into industry. For the past few years in Germany, I have primarily been involved in administrative tasks at a car recycling company.
Working with a wide variety of people has shaped me and given me a good sense for individual needs as well as an open and relaxed way of interacting with each other.
I've always been interested in historical technology – especially old machines and classic cars, which I've restored and collected myself – as well as nature, different cultures and ways of life, good food, and travel. Since childhood, I've seen much of the world and engaged intensively with various cultures and religions, including in Asia and Africa. This has also brought me to the Canary Islands regularly. Gran Canaria, in particular, has become very dear to me, as it combines the advantages and beauty of all the Canary Islands.
On my tours, it is important to me not only to show places, but also to give insights into life on the island and to address the different interests of our guests individually.

Melanie Schimmeyer
I too was born and raised in Northern Germany in 1978. My professional career began as an orthopaedic technician – a profession I don't want to give up here either. Therefore, I manage an orthopaedic technology workshop in Las Palmas.
Working with people and their individual needs has always played a central role and shapes my view of our guests and their wishes.
Since my youth, I – like my husband – have been committed to people and the environment, both professionally and personally. Besides nature and health, travel has always been one of my greatest interests. Through travel, I have gotten to know many different places and people, which has further sharpened my eye for detail and diverse needs.
In my free time, I also really enjoy designing jewelry.
Besides my work, I support Denis – depending on time and opportunity – with excursions and events, especially weddings and special occasions.
It is particularly important to me that our guests feel well looked after and can enjoy special moments in a relaxed manner.
I am also always happy to be available as a contact person for our guests.
Our journey to Gran Canaria – and what motivates us here:
After spending more and more time on Gran Canaria, the concrete desire to live here permanently arose from 2012 onwards, which we finally implemented in 2014.
Today we live on the edge of the small village of Tenteniguada, almost in the center of the island, at an altitude of about 900 meters, in a small house with a garden. We feel very comfortable here and have found pleasant neighbors and good friends.
We've been a couple since our youth and forged our own paths together early on. We love spending our free time outdoors in nature, meeting friends, and constantly making new connections – both with locals and with people from all over the world.

Our love for the Canary Islands, its people and nature gave rise to the idea of creating an alternative to the usual tourist offers – also shaped by our own travel experiences, in which we got to know and experience both classic standard offers as well as individual providers and private tours worldwide.
With our excursions and events, we aim to create targeted, customer-oriented, and high-quality offerings that bring the diversity of the island closer in a personal atmosphere – as it is and as the people live here.
Therefore, we have been continuously developing our skills in this area since 2014 and are constantly improving our services.
Our shared love for the island and its people constantly inspires us to create authentic and unforgettable experiences for our guests.
