You can simply relax and enjoy – or we can delve deeper together with the winemaker into the nature of the vineyard as well as the special features and challenges of regional cultivation and production.
The winemaker can answer all your questions about the grape varieties on Gran Canaria and their characteristics.
For the corresponding translation, you have me as your expert German-speaking guide and companion, so that you can fully understand even complex relationships regarding cultivation and development.
Besides connoisseurs and wine lovers, we also often have winemakers, international wine merchants and sommeliers on this tour.
So far, all guests have been delighted, and the winemaking family lives their passion for wine, quality and hospitality far removed from tourism – an experience that you will have here in a special way.
We have several regular guests who want to join us on this wine tour every year and describe it as the highlight of their holiday. It has even motivated some of them to learn Spanish themselves.
During the tour, we ride a small railcar up the vineyard to the winegrowing area. For many, this ride is already a small adventure, rewarded with a fantastic view. Besides the various Canarian grape varieties, the family also cultivates coffee and top-quality oranges and tangerines, as well as olives, papayas, avocados, and much more for their own use.
The vineyards (like the entire crop) are managed according to ecological principles – a contribution to sustainable enjoyment.
Next, we'll take a look at the production steps and the wine cellar.
Depending on the season, during the wine cellar tour we can also taste wines directly from the different barrels (stainless steel, barrique made of French and American oak) – a direct insight into the maturation process that is not usually possible.
Afterwards, we sit down for a wine tasting on the idyllic terrace in the family's private garden.
During the tasting, the different wines will be presented to you personally.
There is white wine (dry and semi-dry / fruity and very balanced), full-bodied red wine and, depending on availability, also sweet rosé.

All of their wines have won top awards, including a first place in Gran Canaria and 95 points. The winery produces both single-varietal wines and traditional Canarian Vidueños (regionally typical field blends of Canarian grape varieties) – three of their wines were featured in the renowned wine guide in 2022. Peñín Voted among the best in Spain.
These top wines are unfortunately very difficult to obtain on Gran Canaria – they are only available directly from the winery, in a single wine shop in the north of the island and in a selected Canarian restaurant in the mountains, as well as at regional wine events.
The reason: Hotels and restaurants, especially in the tourism sector, rely almost exclusively on wines from mainland Spain because these are generally significantly cheaper to buy and available in consistently high quantities. Furthermore, this small winery sells out completely every year and is therefore not dependent on large-scale buyers or wine tourism. Anyone who wants to taste or optionally buy these wines now has a real opportunity to do so.
During the wine tasting, the winemaker's wife will treat you to typical Canarian specialties. Everything is lovingly homemade, partly from their own garden and partly from select regional products. Naturally, the tapas also include Canarian cheese, their own (organic) olives, and homemade bread.
Unlike typical wine tastings, there are not only tasting glasses – you enjoy the wines to match the food.
After that, we also try the in-house liqueurs and the coffee grown on our own farm.
Here you can enjoy this in a completely peaceful and welcoming atmosphere – without rushing, without sales pitches and without any inconveniences.

As this is a private and exclusive tour, the price depends on the number of participants. All services included in this private excursion are already included in the price.

👶 Children up to 6 years old go free
Children aged 6-11 receive a discount of 80%. Example: For 3 people (2 adults + 1 child aged 6-11), the price per adult is €130 according to the table. The child discount of 80% is applied to the adult price, so the child only pays €26. (Discount: €130 - 80% = €26) Total price: €130 + €130 + €26 = €286
🧑🎓 Young people aged 12 to 18 receive a 70% discount.
- 🔞 We do not serve alcohol to minors (under the age of 18).
- 💰 Payment: You can easily and conveniently pay in cash on the go (in addition to Euros, all common currencies are accepted at the current exchange rate) or in advance via bank transfer.
- ❌ Cancellation: Cancellations are free of charge up to 48 hours before the excursion. For cancellations up to 24 hours in advance, we charge a flat fee of €50. If you cancel while we are already en route, we will have to charge you a flat fee of €100.

Booking and procedure
🗓️ This private wine tour can be booked year-round. As it is a small family-run business, we will arrange the date individually with you.
🕙 Pick-up time and duration are entirely up to you. Typically, pick-up is between 9:00 and 10:00 am, with return in the afternoon or evening – no time pressure, and flexible.
Collection
- 📍 We will pick you up either from your hotel or accommodation (e.g. in Maspalomas / Meloneras / Playa del Inglés / Monte Leon / San Agustín / Puerto Rico / Puerto de Mogán / Arguineguín / Bahía Feliz / Playa del Aguila / Amadores / Fataga San Bartolome de Tirajana / Tejeda / Teror, Galdar / Arucas / Agaete) or from the port in Las Palmas from the cruise ship or the marina if you are arriving with your own boat. The airport is also an option for layovers or on the day of departure.

- 🚗 We travel in a modern, safe, and air-conditioned vehicle with plenty of space and, of course, a USB charging port. Drinking water is available in the car and is free of charge. Naturally, we have appropriate and EU-approved child car seats on board.

- 🔒 Privacy & Discretion: For guests who place particular value on privacy, we tailor all procedures individually – including for guests who are in public life.
Notes
- ♿ Accessibility: We strongly advise against this excursion for people with limited mobility. It is unfortunately not possible with a wheelchair, and only very limitedly and with restrictions for those using walking aids such as a walker or forearm crutches. If you have limited mobility, we would be happy to arrange a different private excursion with a wine tasting that is better suited to your needs. Visual impairments are not a problem, and this tour engages all the senses.
- ☀️ We recommend that you bring your own sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, appropriate clothing). If it's expected to be a bit cooler in the mountains on the day in question, we'll let you know beforehand. Of course, we have umbrellas in the car, just in case.
